COUNSELLING

People need to know that there is a refuge from a harsh unforgiving society, a place where they can gather information and ask questions without a fear of stinging ridicule. Not enough people know that there exists a community environment where in all matters a respect for privacy is of utmost importance and state of the art technology guarantees reliable testing. The Government of Barbados has recognised this need and provided various agencies where such services can be deemed accessible.

AIDS SOCIETY OF BARBADOS:

This organisation initiated and coordinates public counselling and testing at the Healthy Lifestyle Extravaganza held annually.
They provide consultation before and after testing and offer counselling to individuals and their families as they cope with the pressures of being infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.
