Travel back in time to the 18th century and experience the pomp and pageantry of a Caribbean plantation feast as the music and cuisine of the period come alive. Built on the edge of an escarpment overlooking Carlisle Bay, the George Washington House, formerly known as the Bush Hill House, was built as a family plantation by William Cogan in 1719. This two story Georgian House accommodated the young George Washington, future “First Father” of the United States, and his ailing brother Lawrence Washington for two months in 1751.
